A Campbell Soup Co. employee for nearly 20 years, Chris Foley was named Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Campbell Snacks, in March 2018. Chris leads marketing innovation and brand-building across the expanded snacks portfolio encompassing Pepperidge Farm and Snyder’s-Lance. This week marks the one-year anniversary of the acquisition of Snyder’s-Lance and the formation of Campbell Snacks. Here’s a look at how it’s going.
What do warm breezes at the Cape, flavors from around the world, giving the silent treatment and a new super hero have in common?
They’re all new ad campaigns from Campbell Snacks’ powerhouse brands: Cape Cod chips; Kettle Brand chips; Snyder’s of Hanover and Goldfish Epic Crunch. Since we formed Campbell Snacks just over a year ago following the acquisition of Snyder’s-Lance, we’ve invested in these great brands to deliver our snacks to even more American households.
In March, we launched four new creative campaigns. We have fantastic snacks and great stories to tell about them, and we also have passionate people with the talent and commitment to bring those stories to life. Every day I’m seeing the power of bringing Pepperidge Farm and Snyder’s-Lance together. This is just a glimpse at the power of these two organizations coming together.

Cape Cod | “When your hand’s in the bag, your head’s in the Cape”
This is the biggest campaign in the brand’s nearly 40-year history! It showcases the simple greatness that is a Cape Cod potato chip and the blissful feeling of escaping to the Cape.
Kettle Brand | “No small flavors. No small potatoes.”
In Kettle Brand’s first creative campaign in more than a decade, two animated ads take you on a flavor journey around the world, exploring the real ingredients that inspire Kettle Brand’s Flavored Chips. The spots capture the excitement of the brand, telling the story in a style that is as unique as Kettle Brand’s chips.
Snyder’s of Hanover | “Make Some Noise”
Snyder’s of Hanover is the #1 pretzel brand in the U.S., and this campaign includes two stories – “Working from Home” and “Not So Silent Treatment” – that emphasize the irresistibly satisfying crunch of Snyder’s of Hanover pretzels.
Goldfish Epic Crunch | “Heroes Campaign”
Epic Crunch is our newest Goldfish innovation. Bigger in size than regular Goldfish, these baked tortilla snacks have bold flavor and big crunch. The new ad in the Heroes Campaign is titled “New Guy.” Epic Crunch was recently a sponsor for the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards.
